Hilversum, The Netherlands - With the introduction of the new AP300 series IP DECT Access Points, NEC Philips significantly enhances its IP DECT portfolio with new Access Points and new software that meet the increasing mobility challenges of coming years.
The very compact AP300 series Access Point succeeds the AP200 series, and combines new functionality with an attractive redesign of the exterior housing to make it smaller and more versatile to install. Its design has been awarded with a GIO recognition, hallmark of good industrial design in the Netherlands, which besides aesthetics and functionality reviews innovativeness of design and materials used.
The AP300 series complies to all applicable regulations across worldwide markets and satisfies compatibility requirements with a wide range of PBX systems. It offers full compatibility with AP200 access points and with the new IP DECT software release 5 can be easily integrated in existing installations to form one system. “With AP300 series NEC responds to market demand for very reliable and secure wireless voice and messaging systems”, says Bert van Koelen, Business Manager at NEC Philips. “IP DECT is still regarded as the best platform for use in healthcare and various other mission critical industrial and business environments. IP DECT also offers UC functionality such as central directory and presence as well as integration with many vertical application suppliers. As such it has a preferred position amongst WiFi and cellular mobility solutions.”
