With Business Mobility IP DECT, a single converged network can facilitate both fixed and wireless telephony. IP DECT Access Points can easily be added to the LAN and can be complemented with Access Points in a remote location to form a multi-site configuration. Applications can be integrated as they are part of the same network infrastructure, such as messaging systems, corporate directory and presence. Business Mobility also consists of DECT Access Points in case a traditional TDM infrastructure fits better.
The new AP300 series IP DECT
With the new AP300 series IP DECT solution, NEC significantly enhances its IP DECT portfolio with new Access Points and new software that meets the increasing mobility challenges of coming years. The very compact AP300 Access Point combines a broad range of functionality and application support with an attractive compact exterior housing to make it smaller and more versatile to install. AP300 is fully compatible with existing AP200 series Access Points and can easily be integrated in existing installations.
Open architecture
To protect investment and to stay competitive, Business Mobility IP DECT is based upon open standards. It is the first DECT system based on the SIP standard, and it follows the worldwide DECT GAP standard. This means compatibility with a wide range of SIP host systems as well as handsets. IP DECT also provides an open interface for text- and alarm messaging which guarantees connectivity to a variety of specific messaging systems in the market.
Multi-site Mobility
Wireless telephony in a multi-site company or large campus environment is a matter of installing IP DECT Access Points at remote locations, with no need for additional remote equipment. These remote locations become an integral part of your centralized mobile voice communication infrastructure.
Accurate Real-time Location Tracking
Many organizations need to locate people and assets for staff safety and alarming scenario’s. NEC’s IP DECT offers multi-Access Point based location technology to accurately locate IP DECT handsets. This can be combined with applications such as Ekahau RTLS to accurately locate and track those handsets and to combine with other asset tracking devices.
