Hilversum, The Netherlands – September 24, 2007 – NEC Philips Unified Solutions (NEC Philips) has launched a new release of its Business ConneCT suite for iS3000, 2000 IPS and UNIVERGE SV7000 enterprise communication platforms.
Offering desktop phone control, an extensive directory, a PC based operator, a contact centre, integrated voicemail and presence management, this all-in-one communications suite enhances contact with customers, improves employee reachability and reduces costs. Business ConneCT is unique in that it allows employees to assume various roles and switch effortlessly between them.
Flexibility by switching roles
Functionality has been grouped into roles that match with the way office workers are involved in communications in their daily work: Operator, Employee and Agent and the supportive roles of Supervisor and Administrator. Being able to easily switch between roles makes it possible to create a flexible organisation where office workers jump in as extra Operators and Agents to handle calls during peak hours.
“With integrated employee, contact centre and operator functionality, Business ConneCT guarantees that each customer call reaches the right person; first time, every time,” says Peter Grothauzen, Product Marketing Manager at NEC Philips Unified Solutions. “Every employee, wherever he or she is, can act as an operator or virtual agent while carrying on with their other tasks.”
“Moreover, Business ConneCT gives employees control over how and when to be contacted, via a choice of devices – in the office, at home or on the move. In this way, operators, contact centre agents and other employees can combine and interchange their responsibilities to create an efficient workflow.
Business ConneCT Release 3.0 is now available on NEC Philips’ iS3000, 2000 IPS and SV7000 platforms, and supports both IP and TDM voice connectivity. Simple and cost-effective to deploy, its three user modes – employee, operator and contact centre agent – use a single server, single database, single installation point and single user interface.
