NEC PHILIPS’ NEW MA4000 RELEASE 5.0 ENHANCES MANAGEMENT OF ENTERPRISE NETWORKS

Hilversum, The Netherlands   May 9, 2007 – NEC Philips Unified Solutions (NEC Philips) has launched a new release of its MA4000 Maintenance & Management application for iS3000, 2000 IPS and UNIVERGE SV7000 enterprise communication platforms.

With the introduction of Release 5.0, scalability and performance of the MA4000 application have been significantly enhanced.

Secure, easy-to-use and robust, MA4000 is designed to increase overall productivity while at the same time delivering flexibility and simplicity to IP telephony administration. Realising that centralised management is an essential part of an enterprise network, NEC Philips has given MA4000 the ability to manage all of a company’s communication servers simultaneously, with minimal administrator interaction.

MA4000’s friendly user interface requires little training for an administrator to start using the management system. Powerful functions in MA4000 make any task within the system easy. Features like Range Programming can perform large tasks, such as adding new extensions, changing extension programming or numbering, and moving, swapping or deleting extensions, faster than using traditional methods.

With the latest release, MA4000 - in combination with SV7000, 2000 IPS, or iS3000 communication servers - provides the necessary tools for a truly comprehensive IP telephony solution.

The application is now able to serve up to 150.000 stations on a single server. Besides several usability enhancements, it includes Voice System Licence Management and supports Microsoft Excel integration.

The capabilities of MA4000 in support of the iS3000 communication platform have been extended, with the availability of the Learn extension feature as well as SIP recognition. An enhanced EHWA picker is also new for the iS3000.
