Unified Communications and Collaboration
NEC will demonstrate Unified Communications and Collaboration applications such as Secure Instant and Unified Messaging and rich presence information with extensive calendar and voice integration for operator, employees and agents. The applications run on Microsoft LCS in combination with UNIVERGE SV7000 platform and wireless phones.
UNIVERGE SV7000
The UNIVERGE SV7000 is the company’s high-end IP communication platform, and NEC is introducing its latest version (release 21) to the market. This scalable and secure platform allows using centralized applications at the corporate level as well as at branch offices. The SV7000 streamlines operations and maintenance of a company’s network reducing operating costs. System survivability is an essential element with the self-healing architecture providing full business continuity.
UNIVERGE Assured Mobility
NEC will launch UNIVERGE Assured Mobility, the company’s newest generation Wireless LAN communications solution. It comprises of all key components such as wireless controllers, access points, network management software and user devices to provide enterprises with converged wireless communications.
Assured Mobility includes integrated applications such as presence management, location services support, intelligent call redirection and directory information on a variety of mobile devices, empowering individual users and making organizations more agile and productive. The extensive functionality will be shown using MH250 terminals, the WL5100 controller, the WL1500 access points and the WLMS management software. UNIVERGE Assured Mobility will also support dual mode devices that integrate communications across enterprise and public networks.
IP version of Business ConneCT on all communication platforms
Also on show at CeBIT is a full IP version of the Business ConneCT suite, an all-in-one communication solution that fulfils the needs of call center agents, operators and office employees. It can easily switch between the roles of
• Employee (PC based call handling, contact management and presence management incl. Microsoft Outlook integration),
• Operator (easy handling of operator queues) and
• Agent (extensive caller information presentation plus routing, queuing and IVR functions of the underlying Contact Centre).
With the full IP version, now available on all IP communication servers and hybrid platforms offered by NEC Philips Unified Solutions (iS3000, 2000 IPS, SV7000), customers now have the freedom of choice between IP and TDM technology to access voice services such as voicemail, auto-attendant and call center queue announcements.
Business Partner solutions incl. SIP DECT Telephony, IPC 100/500 and new terminals
In the section focussing on SMB solutions NEC Philips Unified Solutions will be informing its channel partners on its Business Partner Program, its fully renewed PartnerNet and latest developments of its portfolio, comprising SOPHO IPC 100, IPC 500 and 2000 IPS platforms.
New at CeBIT will be the launch of a dedicated SIP DECT Wireless Telephony solution. The introduction of the AP200S SIP DECT Access Point enables small and medium sized organisations to exploit the benefits of IP based DECT Wireless Telephony. By making the DECT solution SIP-enabled, opens up possibilities of offering this wireless telephony solution on third party platforms as well.
