Hilversum, The Netherlands - November 6, 2006 – NEC Philips Unified Solutions (NEC Philips) today launched a new Business Mobility IP DECT AP200S access point enabling SOPHO IPC 100 and IPC 500 communication systems to exploit the benefits of IP based DECT Wireless Telephony.
With this new release NEC Philips makes IP DECT available to small and medium sized organisations, further affirming its leading position in wireless enterprise solutions.

The new AP200S DECT access point is a compact, easily installed plug-and-play access point that adds wireless telephony to IP networks. Each access point supports up to 11 simultaneous duplex calls, while up to 32 DECT access points can be connected to a given IPC 100 or IPC 500 system. Simple installation of access points enables infrastructure to be adjusted to an organization’s specific coverage and capacity needs. AP200S software can be downloaded from a single maintenance point. The AP200S Access Points connect directly to an Ethernet LAN and can be powered either externally or via the LAN.
