NEC and Soulco Distribution strengthen distribution of enterprise communications solutions across Northern African region

Hilversum, 6 October 2010 – NEC Unified Solutions and Soulco Distribution today announced they have signed a distribution agreement granting Soulco Distribution the rights of distribution for all SMB (Small & Medium Business) communications solutions of NEC Unified Solutions across Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania, Senegal, Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina, Mali and Niger. The North African Distribution Agreement has taken effect as per 1st September 2010 and was recently followed by an extremely successful launch event in Casablanca for Soulco resellers across the region.

In support of strengthening and expanding distribution in this vast territory Soulco has created a new subsidiary, Soulco Morocco. Soulco Morocco will act as local hub and supply all SMB partners with NEC’s UNIVERGE SV8100 communications systems and applications.

Soulco Morocco will be headed up by Mohamed Tounsi. “With Soulco Morocco we will offer NEC a greater level of coverage and expertise in North Africa and be able to work closely together with channel partners and their customers. With NEC behind us, Soulco is in an excellent position to provide channel partners a rich and powerful portfolio of products and applications that will enable them to offer advanced communications solutions and help them to increase sales”, says Bob Van Der Linden, CEO of Soulco.
