The UNIVERGE open interfaces are part of the UNIVERGE Solution Partner (USP) program and in fact the technical enablers for the USP program. The interfaces provide an easy integration with relevant business applications and make a meaningful improvement to communication efficiency. Different interfaces can intervene on all layers of the Unified Business Communications model depending on the required integration.
NEC is providing several layers of interfaces including Communication Telephony Integration (CTI) and XML end-point software development kits (SDK’s) as well as our Application Programming Interfaces (API’s) for SIP, real-time call control, SOAP call control, SOAP information and much more is available for our business and USP partners.

The UNIVERGE solutions partner database provides information about NEC’s accredited partners and their certified solutions on a global and region approach. The database makes it easy to search for UNIVERGE solution partners and certified solutions based on a range of attributes.
The USP program is targeted at global and regional solution partners who are administered in a global database. The global USP database processes and registers USP’s applying, conformance testing and awards certified partners specific USP program levels based on a regional approach. The program database can be search on a versatile number of attributes. NEC offers two standardized query keys to search the database. Queries can be enhanced for more granular search through the database.
The USP program is addressing global and regional initiatives for best of breed solution development. In some cases national or local solutions fail the USP program accreditation criteria due to localisation, support services or a niche market. Although these solutions are supported on a local for local bases NEC recognises the importance of these local solutions and offers exposure in a reversed partner listing to mature.
NEC’s reciprocal partner listing acts as an incubator for local and/or national solutions to enable to mature over time and be adopted by the USP program.
