Lex de Gier

Vice President Sales & Marketing

After finishing his study in Marketing at the Higher School of Economics in Amsterdam, Lex de Gier held several marketing- and sales management positions in the field of Retail Automation for companies such as Siemens Nixdorf, Mettler-Toledo and Riva Systems.

In 1997 he became one of the commercial pioneers in the Speech Technology industry and was made responsible for the sales and operations of the Nuance Communications (formerly ScanSoft) enterprise speech solutions portfolio in Europe, Middle-East and India.

In May 2006 Lex de Gier joined NEC Philips Unified Solutions as Managing Director International Channels.

He is responsible for the Multi Channel Sales & Marketing team of NEC Unified Solutions, which includes all indirect sales -, marketing- and pre-sales activities in EMEA and executes and supports the ambition of NEC to expand and grow market position in SMB and Enterprise telephony solutions in the region.
